Join artist Adriana Katzew in a workshop where participants share meaningful stories about themselves through art-making. Participants will make an accordion book, a perfect vehicle for storytelling and preserving stories for the future. Participants will also photograph an object to add to their book, one that holds meaning to them and that reminds them of family or “home.”

Adriana will share the work she is doing with her own family stories as a Community Creative Fellow, and will gather the participants’ stories and images to create an ongoing collaborative piece that captures both individual stories and our collective experiences.

Participants are kindly asked to each bring an object that carries memory or holds a special meaning to them or their family, as well as a cell phone or digital camera to photograph the object. Also bring an 8.5×11 piece of paper or any kind of rectangular paper, glue stick, scissors (optional), needle or pen (to puncture a hole), string/thread/yarn and a plastic card  (library card, supermarket card) to crease paper (optional).

Limited to 25 people.
