We are excited to invite you to an inspiring Zoom event hosted by the United Hatzalah Women’s Initiative. Join us for a conversation featuring three remarkable women making a difference in the field of emergency medical services.

Featured speakers:

Dr. Keren Moss, internist and United Hatzalah’s regional paramedic medical authority in Har Hanegev

Dr. Keren Moss recognized the urgent need for emergency medical services in the rural region of the Negev and began volunteering with United Hatzalah in 2017. As a devoted medical professional, she trains volunteers, provides critical medical support, and empowers young minds through first aid courses for Bedouin high school students. Dr. Moss is transforming lives and communities through her unwavering commitment.

Karen Arieli, manager of special projects, United Hatzalah

Karen Arieli is the manager of special projects at United Hatzalah. In that role, she created and oversees the IMAH Initiative, a unique program empowering Israel’s widows to obtain employment in the field of emergency medicine as medics, phlebotomists, and first aid instructors. There are currently 50 widows enrolled in a variety of courses, and Karen herself is already a certified phlebotomist and almost a medic.

Rachel Zubeta, deputy commander of emergency relief operations, United Hatzalah

Rachel Zubeta is the deputy commander of United Hatzalah’s emergency relief operations. She was one of five female emergency responders on United Hatzalah’s delegation to Turkey following the catastrophic earthquake that killed more than 46,000 people. She also played a leading role in Operation Orange Wings, assisting over 200,000 Ukrainian refugees, and operating over 30 rescue flights from Moldova to Israel.
