Back by popular demand, this JArts Kitchen Exploration event is your chance to learn about Jewish Chelsea. Tour the city once called “Little Jerusalem,” when Jews made up 80% of the population, making it second to New York City as the most densely Jewish city in America.

This two-hour walking tour begins at the famed Katz’s Bagels, in business since 1938, and concludes at the historic Walnut Street Synagogue. Dr. Ellen Rovner, a Boston University cultural anthropologist whose family goes back four generations in Chelsea, leads our tour.

Limited to 20 people. A waiting list will be kept.
