At this Shabbat afternoon/evening program, marking the 50th anniversary of the end of the Six-Day War, we will enjoy Middle Eastern food and learn about the work of one of the most exciting developments in the movement to find a just and peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Rabbi Donna Kirshbaum will share with us the growth and impact of Women Wage Peace (WWP), and we will present her with the quilt squares that our members have been making this year for WWP’s “Piece by Peace” project.

Women Wage Peace (WWP) is a unique grassroots movement founded in Israel just after the 2014 Gaza War/Operation Protective Edge. Its one goal is to bring about the resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a manner that is non-violent, respectable, and agreeable to both Israelis and Palestinians, within four years.
