This year, Asiyah’s Yom Kippur services will give us an opportunity to explore teshuva as not only a (re)turning, but as a turning toward: toward our past, our grief, our future, and ultimately our wholeness. The world is calling us—through its climate, through our yearnings for justice and human rights—into wholeness and resilience. Can we hear that call?

What to expect

Our Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur day services will be full of songful, soulful, musical prayer—led by Rabbi David, along with guitarist Adam Simon and other musicians, singers and community voices. Whether you’ve never been to a Yom Kippur service or you’ve been doing it all your life, there’s something here for you—please join us! Our Yom Kippur day program will also include meditation and movement practices, learning sessions and community-led breakouts, and we’ll end with havdallah, kiddush, and a light break fast. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing.

Covid safety

We’ll be holding all our events outdoors, mostly under a tent. All participants will be required to wear a mask under the tent at all times and outside the tent when six-foot social distancing isn’t possible.

Tickets

We’re offering a donation-based, sliding-scale ticket that’s good for all the High Holy Days services you choose. When you register, you’ll be prompted to select which services you plan to attend (important for capacity tracking) and offer a donation that makes you feel good.

Registered Asiyah co-creators (members) are eligible for free tickets, but must register for contact tracing and capacity tracking. A limited number of free tickets are available to make these services accessible to all, regardless of financial resources.
