Ma’yan Tikvah’s High Holiday services are always unique because they are primarily outdoors. This year, we are planning to maintain in-person outdoor components while keeping people safe from COVID-19 and insect-borne diseases. Outdoor experiences will be supplemented with Zoom services and programs.

When you register, you will see a list of all the options and will be able to check those services and programs you wish to attend. Since we are limiting the size of in-person groups, please only check those you actually plan to attend. Locations for in-person events in Metrowest will be announced closer to the holidays.

Sunday, Sept. 29:

  • 6:15-7:45 p.m.: Zoom service with Kol Nidre, other prayers and a discussion

Monday, Sept. 29:

  • 9:30-11 a.m. and/or 10-11:30 a.m.: We are offering several meditative reflective walks in different locations with themes of Yom Kippur. At least one will include Yizkor and at least one will be family-friendly. Walks will be led by Rabbi Katy Allen and Emily Nadel or Lizzy Cantor, our outdoor Jewish educators.
  • 12-1:30 p.m.: Zoom service with Torah reading, traditional prayers and discussion
  • 2-2:45 p.m.: Zoom healing service and Yizkor
  • 6:30 p.m.: Zoom Neilah, shofar and break-fast
