To help you and your family celebrate a meaningful Chanukah, Gateways presents a collection of Chanukah resources, all prepared by Gateways’ experienced special education teachers and available to download for free on our website.  Resources include blessings with visual supports,  social stories, visual supports for Chanukah skills, song sheets with picture symbols, and make-your-own file folder activity kits.

Blessings with visual supports, displayed below, were created to help make blessings simple, accessible, and understandable for children, especially students with a variety of disabilities. In these files, each transliterated Hebrew phrase is illustrated by a simple symbol (we use Mayer-Johnson picture symbols) and accompanied by a child-friendly English translation. Children can follow along with each blessing and learn to understand its meaning using these symbol blessings. Print these blessings to help children learn to celebrate Chanukah, or use them to create file folder activities.  Click here to download them now!
