Beer. It’s refreshing, bubbly, hoppy, delectable and for me pretty much always enjoyable. I love beer. But not just any beer (it’s okay you can call me a beer snob).  Gone are my days of Natty Light  and with a little more money in my pocket and an ever growing appreciation for microbrews and Belgian pale ales, I tend to spend a little more for a good beer, especially one that has a great company story. Which brings me to the Shmaltz Brewing Co.’s HE’Brew beer. If you’ve been to the Beeradvocate’s Beerfest in Boston, then you’ve probably stumbled upon Shmaltz Brewing, and more specifically it’s Proprieter, Jeremy Cowan. He’s awesome. And he has a great story about how he started brewing and has led his company to international success.

Luckily, you don’t have to wait for a beer advocate Festival to speak to Jeremy, hear his story, or taste his beers! He’s coming to Boston, all the way from San Francisco, to talk about his new book, Craft Beer Bar Mitzvah, to a small intimate crowd of non-Natty Light drinkers. We’ll get to taste many of his famous brews, mingle with other cool beer connoisseurs (you should come even if you’re not a connoisseur) and talk to the coolest ‘He’Brew (yes, I’m talking about Jeremy Cowan), in town. Please join PRISM’s  Beer Tasting and Conversation on Thursday, August 23rd @ 7:00 PM, at Brookline Fine Wine and Spirits (in Brookline Village). If you purchase your tickets online in advance, you’ll receive a free Pint Glass  at the event! Tickets are only $15. Space is limited! See you there! L’Chaim (Hebrew word for ‘cheers’)!
