The summer of 2012 brought many changes to the programs at Hertz Nursery School in Sharon.  One of these changes was the creation of a complete outdoor classroom environment.  Each area of the “classroom” invited children to explore and experiment.  Areas included a dress-up/playhouse area, music, blocks, art center, science
area, sand and water and an ALL NEW garden.  Four garden beds were newly installed for 2012.  Each garden bed has a different theme.  One is filled with spices for our “Havdalah” garden, another has flowers, a third is Summer vegetables and the fourth is seeded with Fall produce.

“The children have really enjoyed caring for their garden every day,” stated Lisa Kritz, Hertz Nursery School Director.  “Getting back to nature and being in that environment all day has helped the children to enjoy everything and everyone in a relaxed open environment,” continued Kritz.

A photo gallery of the fun being had at Hertz Nursery School this summer is available on www.hertznurseryschool.org.

Hertz Nursery School is located within Temple Israel Sharon at 125 Pond Street and is open to children aged 2.9 through Transitional Kindergarten.  To learn more about the program, visit www.hertznurseryschool.org or call Lisa Kritz, Director at  781-784-4050 .
