From Glenda Speyer, Upper School Head, to Rashi Upper School teachers:

Here we are, almost at the end of December, and so much has been achieved in these past four months!

I have seen excellence of instruction…

I have heard faculty speak about students with knowledge, concern and sensitivity…

I have heard faculty talk about students ‘as if they were in the room’…

I have seen us grapple with ways to refine our systems…

I have witnessed countless hours of faculty meeting with students (outside of lesson time)…

I have seen us laugh with the students…

I have seen electives that have moved, inspired and delighted our students…

I have seen magnificent use of the theatre, the gym, the fields…

I have seen faculty chaperone overnight trips, dances, day trips and more…

I have seen strong and effective communication with parents via email, at back to school night, conferences and more…

I have felt warmth and a sense of community…

I have experienced collaboration and collegiality…

This is just the tip of the iceberg…there is so much more that I have seen, felt and heard..

I am grateful to you for your contributions.

I thank you for all that you do.

I thank you for standing at my side.

I wish you all a restful and enjoyable winter break.

B’Kavod,

Glenda
