The Mobilize Boston Shipping Container is en route to Syria! The container, filled with 13,801 items including vast amounts of medical and educational supplies, clothing and hygiene kits, was shipped from New York on July 8.

It is projected that the container will arrive in Turkey in early August. From there, it will go through a series of customs clearances, and then be trucked into Syria to our local nonprofit partner there. The local partner will then distribute the JFS backpacks to communities in need on the ground in Northwestern Syria.

Earlier this spring, JFS of Metrowest, in partnership with the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees and generous support provided by The Shapiro Foundation, committed to sending a shipboard container full of personal care, medical and other supplies to children and families living in refugee camps inside Syria.
