JFS and the Rosenberg family are proud to announce the establishment of the Paul Rosenberg Memorial Fund to honor the over 40 years of Paul’s unwavering commitment to those in need in the Metrowest community.

To honor his memory, the fund will ensure the continued administrative excellence of JFS and fund two yearly collegiate scholarships to students studying business or finance.

One of Paul’s greatest gifts to the nonprofit world was his financial acumen. Paul utilized his analytical expertise to maximize resources for the greatest impact in our community. He taught JFS that “administrative excellence” in all aspects of finance and business office functions would ensure that direct service providers would have the skills and resources needed to accomplish their important work in the community. The fund will both ensure the continued administrative excellence of JFS for generations to come and ensure JFS’ best practices are offered and shared with the wider nonprofit community.

Paul was a committed champion of helping those in need, and a strong advocate for decreasing the inequities in our community. He said that he was fortunate to have had a Navy ROTC scholarship, which afforded him the opportunity to obtain the initial college education that propelled his life. The fund will establish two scholarships per year to help motivated economically disadvantaged students pursuing a degree in business or finance.

The fund is a wonderful way to honor Paul’s important contributions and his memory. JFS expresses its deep gratitude to his family, especially his wife of 65 years, Marcia Rosenberg. May Paul’s memory be for a blessing.
