Little-Red-Fish.jpgEvery April librarians all over the country help us mark School Library Month and National Library Week. Celebrating these events highlights the essential role that strong library programs play in the lives of children. To join in this celebration we are proud to feature a stunning new book by author/illustrator Taeeun Yoo, about a magical visit to the library.

In The Little Red Fish, a young boy, his grandfather and his little red fish pay a visit to the library. Amidst the quiet ambiance and calm environs, the boy nods off to sleep. When he awakes, he discovers his fish is missing and his eyes turn to a mysterious red book on the shelf. Could that be where his fish has gone? Readers will get lost in the author/illustrator’s dreamlike etchings, and relish in this imaginative tribute to the power of a good book.

Preschool to 2nd grade; Ages 4-8
