created at: 2010-05-25Whether you’re old enough to remember the dramatic release of Human Rights activist, Natan Sharansky, from Soviet prison back in 1986 – or haven’t yet read his incredible autobiography, Fear No Evil – get your game on, because Sharansky’s coming to Boston and will be the featured speaker on Monday evening, June 7th at a CJP community-wide event celebrating Jewish identity at Temple Beth Avodah in Newton.

Sharansky, celebrated author and activist, currently the chairperson of the Jewish Agency for Israel, will share his thinking at an event culminating a day long Jewish educators conference. Following his remarks we’ll be treated to a theatrical performance entitled “Becoming Israel” by Storahtelling, a New York City troupe that fuses storytelling and contemporary performance art.
