A group of students at the Technion and the University of Haifa are at the forefront of an exciting Israel advocacy program. Five influential bloggers from India, Venezuela, Singapore, China and Australia are currently in Israel on their “Once in a Lifetime 2.0” experience, an all-expenses paid 11-day trip to see the country first-hand.

The itinerary focuses on three areas: innovation, diversity, and securtiy, but there’s an additional element that always comes with a visit of this kind. As we members of the Boston-Haifa Connection know so well, one of the most important aspects of understanding Israel is connecting with the Israeli people and building bonds and connections. The Israeli student organizers are all taking part in the StandWithUs Fellowship program.

The Once in a Lifetime participants have been blogging, posting on Facebook and tweeting about their trip. They spent several days in Haifa, and, no surprise to us, fell in love with the city. This video from their visit to the Technion sums up their experience:
