Bill Gabovitch has been an active member of the Boston Jewish community for many years. Bill is a board member and chair of the Governance Committee of JOIN for Justice, a national Jewish organization training community organizing to help create social justice. Bill is a past president of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston and has been on the JCRC board for over 15 years. He has also had deep involvements with Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston since 1989, including serving on its Board of Directors from 2000-2012 and currently serving on its governance and nominations committee. Bill has also had involvements with Keshet, Moishe House, Synagogue Council and his Reconstructionist synagogue, Shir Hadash. Bill also serves on the board of the Elizabeth Stone House, a domestic violence program in Roxbury. Bill is the general counsel of Primark US Corp. and was previously a vice president and associate general counsel for Staples, Inc. Previously Bill worked for two law firms in Boston. He graduated from Indiana University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Bill lives in Newton with his wife and two daughters.
