Emily Mogavero is an artist, curator, educator, Jewish community leader and museum professional. Emily’s art addresses memory and history through abstraction and chance, forming an extended self-portrait through both a Jewish and secular lens. A founder of Moishe House Brookline, Emily integrates the arts into young adult programming and aims to create opportunities for Jewish artists in the Boston area. Her curatorial work includes “Guarding Memories | Creating Histories” (2017), a show featuring seven emerging Jewish artists examining personal and collective memory. Emily currently works on the marketing team for the Institute of Contemporary Art Boston and serves on the Mayyim Hayyim art committee.
