If you are the parent of a teen who has experienced overnight camp, day camp programs or academic day programs in past summers, and if your teen is looking for something completely different to do for a few weeks in the post-pandemic, take a look at this program, making its debut for the summer of 2022!

Summer Teen Adventures is an exciting new summer day travel program full of adventure for Jewish teens based in Greater Boston. We will incorporate what every teen craves: social interaction, community service, spending time with friends doing meaningful activities and, most of all, having fun!

Not a traditional day camp with programmed daily activities, Summer Teen Adventures will take teens to a different destination each day to experience something new, to challenge them to move out of their comfort zone, build trust and, most importantly, create community with each other.

When can teens attend?

Summer Teen Adventures begins on Monday, July 11, 2022, and ends on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022. The program is a minimum of two consecutive weeks; we encourage teens to attend all four weeks and experience all the program will offer. Transportation is provided from centralized bus stops. Enrollment is limited to create a greater sense of community amongst our participants.

The daily schedule is Monday through Thursday. Monday through Wednesday the hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday offers some evening “chill” time until 8 p.m., including dinner with friends in a casual setting and special activities. The four-day week at Summer Teen Adventures allows teens to sleep late on Fridays and also have time for family and friends on the weekends.

Why attend Summer Teen Adventures?

Teens have the opportunity to gain confidence by stepping into leadership roles and developing life skills. The community service component helps them to understand the importance of giving back to their community while seeing first-hand how their participation is a link in the chain to creating a better world. And since high schoolers have a community service requirement, we will provide the proper documentation for all teens’ hours.

Socializing in-person with others is beneficial to becoming a well-rounded and successful adult. By actively participating in shared experiences, teens create new bonds and have the opportunity to continue friendships that last well beyond the four weeks!

We integrate Jewish values and life skills to foster personal growth, so anyone ready to meet new friends, try new things and have a lot of fun this summer is welcome to join!

Who plans and supervises the day trips?

Our director and co-founders have a combined 50-plus years of camping experience and have worked together to ensure that the program includes exciting and meaningful destinations. Our director will accompany the teens each day, and the co-executive directors will be present often as well.

Hiring qualified and responsible staff members to work with teens is taken very seriously. Our staff appreciates the importance of their position as role models to have a positive impact on the lives of your teens. All staff members receive intensive training related to teen development, social interaction and the unique challenges they face in today’s world.

We are beyond excited to put our passion into practice for a new generation of teens at Summer Teen Adventures!
