Last week Rabbi Lerner and Rabbi Fel began to work on a music video. I was a little skeptical. I mean, they can sing ok, I guess, but …a music video? Really?
Skepticism has been put to rest.
Their playful, funny, light-hearted, cheerful video reminded me of something important. As we approach the Days of Awe, it’s a good time to reflect, to think back on the last year, on the good and bad, on what we need to change, on how we can do better.
It’s also a good time to remember the good in our lives, the joy, the light. Remember the reasons to celebrate. A party? A gathering of friends? A quiet moment of prayer that refreshed and enlightened? It’s a good time to celebrate life and new beginnings.
And sometimes it’s just good to laugh, to sing, and to dance.
The best comment so far sums up this video perfectly…and it kinda sums up Temple Emunah, too. “These guys spread warmth. I can feel it.”
Bask in the warmth. Sing along. Laugh. Dance. Share.
