Who we are:  The Boston Office of American Jewish Committee is a small office with a large agenda. For more information, please check us out at www.ajcboston.org

What we need: Communications intern who is a self-starter, works well on a team, can adapt to change, enjoys challenging fast paced work environments, and wants to grow professionally.

Who you are: You have great oral and written communication skills, a positive attitude, a disposition for managing details, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management systems.

What you’ll do: Responsibilities may include writing and editing, website maintenance, PR, database management, photography, videography, administrative support, and media outreach.

Why you should apply: This internship is unpaid, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be rewards for your work. We are happy to provide employment letters or college recommendations. As the Communications Intern, you will learn about how a non-profit organization works on local, national and global levels. You will make a difference in promoting human rights for vulnerable peoples and advocating for Israel, freedom and peace. You will have the opportunity to attend events– this could include participation in diplomatic visits; fundraising events; and community initiatives.

When we need you: Ideally, the position could start as soon as possible, but for the right candidate, we will do our best to coordinate with your schedule. The position is unpaid and 15-25 hours per week. Preference is for availability of at least 6 months-1 year.

Please send cover letters and resumes to Janna Strand at strandj@ajc.org.
