CJP is excited to announce the launch of a new program designed to integrate technology into supplementary education. CJP’s Teaching & Technology Fellowship integrates educational seminars, curriculum design workshops, and in-classroom mentoring for teachers as they work toward reshaping their classrooms into an interactive, multi-dimensional Jewish learning environment.
Further details and applications for CJP’s Teaching & Technology Fellowship are available on the CJP Website. All teachers currently working in supplementary schools are eligible to apply, provided that they continue to teach in the 2011-2012 school year and have a letter of support from their sponsoring school. Participants in the Fellowship must make a commitment to participate in all aspects of the fellowship program and are eligible to receive a $1000 award upon successful completion of the fellowship and integration of technology into their classrooms.
The due date for applications to CJP’s Teaching & Technology Fellowship is Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Ten educators will be selected for this first cohort and announced by mid-February. Our plan is to bring the Fellowship to over 100 teachers over the next five years. The experimentation and creative ideas that will emerge through the learning, curriculum design, and teaching of the Fellows will serve to infuse new ideas into the realm of supplementary education and lead to large-scale change in how students receive a Jewish education at congregational and community schools.
CJP’s Teaching and Technology Fellowship strongly demonstrates CJP’s commitment to bringing bold innovation to supplementary education and improving the Jewish learning experience of the next generation of leaders in our community.
