On May 25, Robert Kraft received an honorary degree from Yeshiva University and gave the Commencement Address. It was my tremendous honor to be with him, to hear a truly inspiring address and to see the love for Robert that filled the room at Madison Square Garden. Robert’s address was really a d’var torah, based on words of Torah that his father, Harry, taught him and that have guided his life. At the heart of the address is an amazing guide for living a life filled with meaning, purpose, community and spirituality:

“What do people really want in life? They want to feel connected to something larger than themselves, where there is a pride in an important mission, where there is leadership, where people stay together through the hard times, where your life is not just about yourself – it’s about your real contribution to this larger cause.”

Robert’s address was a gift to the graduates and to everyone who filled the room.

I encourage you to watch the entire address below.
