My father, Dovber Marchette, was the artist-in-residence at the MFA Boston in 1978 and taught at the Art Institute of Boston for 16 years and at Torah Academy for 20 years.
He has always done unique things in the arts, which was well-documented in the 1970s and ’80s. My father was also the artist-in-residence for the town of Sudbury in 1979, where he made two permanent sculptures that are still there.
He has started to show his art again in recent years, with several shows in Boston as well as exhibits in Italy. There is also much interest in other areas of Europe.
To help bring this special local artist back to the world, we are looking for donations here. Your assistance is much appreciated! We believe the global art world, as well as the public of Boston, will appreciate this art once again.
