Though I am an active member of the Jewish community outside of Boston, I felt a need to connect to my peer group in the city. And, to experience the learning they were doing. I got involved with a program run by CJP and Hebrew College and was thoroughly impressed. I had such a wonderful, positive, and authentically Jewish experience that I wanted to get even more involved… so I was thrilled when I was asked to be on the committee to plan a new learning series for young adults: Eser: Top Ten Jewish Innovations. Eser means “10” in Hebrew and each year the program will feature another top ten topic.

After planning the structure of the program to include six discussion sessions, a Shabbat potluck dinner, a theater performance, and a final Shabbat celebration, we on the committee worked with three young rabbis to select engaging topics, relevant no matter where one is on one’s “Jewish path.” We will also be leading the groups together in private homes, where amazing discussions are sure to take place on innovations such as Shabbat; the ability to question faith; humor; food and more. Please consider joining us for what promises to be a great experience. Find us on Facebook and check out the full schedule and details on our website.
