What is Celebrate Israel with Koolulam?
Koolulam is a world-famous singing sensation from Israel. The group is coming to Boston for their first U.S. tour. Be part of this immersive musical experience to celebrate Israel’s 71st Independence Day.
What is the time and schedule of the event?
Doors will open at the House of Blues on Sunday, June 2, at 2:30 p.m.
Song rehearsals will start around 4 p.m. and the actual performance and video recording portion of the event will begin at around 5 p.m. We expect the event to end around 6 p.m.
Please note: We are expecting a full house and encourage you to arrive on time so that we can make sure everyone is inside the venue for the start of the program. Once rehearsals begin, nobody can enter the event space.
How much do tickets cost? Are group tickets available?
Tickets cost $18 per person if purchased by Sunday, May 26. After this date, tickets will cost $25 per person.
Please note: There is a standard credit card processing fee on each ticket sold through the Universe website.
There are no group tickets available.
Who should attend the event?
Koolulam recommends their events for people ages 8 and older. Given the length and nature of the event, all participants should be able to read, be comfortable and capable of taking direction from the Koolulam staff, and be able to stand for an extended period.
Please note: This event will be filmed—only people who are comfortable with being filmed and possibly appearing in the video should register for this event.
Can I film the event or take pictures for social media?
No, part of the magic of coming together and singing as a community is to be in the moment.
We respectfully request that you put away your phones and/or cameras for the performance portion of the event (which will be between 5-6 p.m.). You are welcome to film or take pictures of the warm-up session.
Koolulam will be filming this event for use on social media, in newsletters, and on websites. Everyone in attendance may end up in the final video, so be sure to smile while singing and have fun!
Are there seats in the venue?
House of Blues is primarily a standing venue with limited stadium-style seating on the third level. If you require special seating accommodations, please email Lihi Bustin-Shoshani at IAC Boston.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, House of Blues is a wheelchair-accessible venue and has an elevator. Please see above if you require accessible seating. For questions regarding venue accessibility, please email Lihi Bustin-Shoshani at IAC Boston.
Will there be a quiet place for people who might become overstimulated?
Yes, the restaurant at House of Blues is a designated quiet space for anyone who needs it. The TVs in the restaurant will stream the event in the main room at a quiet level so everyone will know and see what’s happening.
Will the Koolulam singing experience be loud?
Every individual experience is unique; if you feel it’s too loud, there will be a quiet space in the restaurant. If you are sensitive to noise, we invite you to bring headphones; we will have earplugs on site for those who need them.
Will there be an ASL interpreter at the event?
ASL interpreters are available upon request. Please let us know by Wednesday, May 22, if you require an ASL interpreter.

Can I purchase tickets at the door?
No. Ticket sales will close as soon as we sell out or at 9 a.m. on Sunday, June 2. For security reasons, no walk-ins will be permitted.
What do I need to know about security?
As with every community event, we take your security very seriously. Please make sure to have your tickets with you (either on your smartphone or a hard copy printout) and bring a valid government-issued ID. No strollers, folding chairs, backpacks, oversized bags, bottles, or any item that can be used as a weapon is allowed inside the venue. Bags will be searched and larger bags will be held for pickup after the event. Everyone will go through a security line and metal detector during registration.

Where is House of Blues and how do I get there?
House of Blues is located at 15 Lansdowne St., Boston, MA 02215.
It is easily accessible via MBTA, Commuter Rail, and bus. On the Green Line, take the B, C, or D trains to Kenmore. (The D line also has a Fenway stop.) Many bus routes stop at Kenmore and other locations close to the venue; see the full list on the MBTA website. The Worcester Commuter Rail stops at Yawkey. All are about a five-minute walk to the House of Blues, located on Lansdowne Street across from Fenway Park.
Where can I park and how much does it cost?
There is no parking exclusive to House of Blues. Parking is limited around the venue. Most street parking is restricted to handicapped parking and residential parking. There are multiple parking lots and garages in the area. Please see information below regarding a few of the lots.

What happens if I can’t attend? Can I transfer my ticket to someone else or get a refund?
Unfortunately, you cannot transfer your ticket to someone else for security reasons. If you are unable to attend the event, please contact email@example.com before 9 a.m. on June 2, who will be able to reallocate your ticket to a specific person you identify. Refunds will not be issued 24 hours before the event.
Will food be available?
Kosher snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase before the performance.
Can I sing with my group/school/synagogue/team/family?
Yes! This is primarily a standing venue with no assigned seats. You will be able to participate with your group/family/friends as long as you book in the same level.
Do I need to have any singing experience?
No, and we want everyone to join in. You’ll be surprised how a song can bring a community together!
Will there be other activities in addition to the singing?
There will be a fun warm-up activity for the crowd prior to the rehearsal session.
