Over the past several weeks, Gann Academy has offered students and families the opportunity to stay connected to one another and to stay engaged in education despite unprecedented global circumstances. As the school quickly shifted into virtual gear, it also became clear that there is still a need for digital learning.
The school is thrilled to announce Gann Summer 2020, a new summer learning program for Jewish students in grades eight to 12.
“In this time of uncertainty and disconnection, we are so excited to be able to offer a caring, connected and creative Gann experience to the whole community,” said Lily Rabinoff-Goldman, interim assistant head of school for teaching and learning.
Taking into consideration Gann’s core values of care, connectivity and creativity, the program will continue to serve current students, as well as others who have been impacted by COVID-19-related school closures and who are in need of learning, community and Jewish engagement. Gann Summer 2020 will offer rigorous, connecting and creative virtual coursework for students who are interested in getting a taste of Gann’s educational program through creative enrichment courses, as well as core subject “catch up.” Students will be invited to enroll in three courses taught by Gann’s exceptional faculty members, including a daily opportunity for Jewish learning and engagement.
Gann Summer 2020 will run from July 6-31. Classes will be held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
