Over 100 young philanthropists recently united at the Revere Hotel Lantern Lounge in Boston for Jewish National Fund-USA’s JNFuture “Hatikvah in the Hub,” where community members aged 22-40 celebrated Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day, while learning about the organization’s work to rebuild Israel’s North and South.

Co-chaired by Alex Iselin and Maya Michlin, the event’s keynote speaker was Alon Ben-Gurion, the grandson of Israel’s first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion. A hospitality expert, Ben-Gurion is using his extensive network and hospitality know-how to actively promote development in Israel’s Negev Desert.

Local lay leaders also showcased how Jewish National Fund-USA is leading efforts to rebuild and rehabilitate Israel’s battered North and South through its “Build Together” and “Reimagine” plans. By investing in new housing sites, employment initiatives, medical centers, mental health services, schools, playgrounds, resilience centers, and more, the organization is creating multiple “circles of impact” that support its vision of attracting 800,000 new residents to Israel’s frontier regions.
