I cannot think of a time when Hanukkah has felt more relevant than it does this year. It has been an incredibly challenging past few months, for Israel and the Jewish People.

Yet, Hanukkah teaches us about the resilience of the Jewish spirit and the human spirit. It teaches us that, precisely when it may seem hardest, we can overcome if we remain strong, resolved, and proud of who we are.

Lighting Hanukkah candles is a form of spiritual and cultural resistance, as we insist that goodness and light can triumph in a dark world, and that we each have a role to play in making that happen.

As we celebrate this season of light, help us create a brighter future for every member of our community here in Boston, in Israel, and around the world.

Happy Hanukkah to you and your loved ones.

We proudly stand in solidarity with our partner, the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS).
