Did you know that Joe and Lucy’s Food Pantry at JFS provides clients with more than just food?

Myrna Winter, the Family Assistance Program Specialist has long found ways to provide dignity to JFS clients who are stuggling – be they recent refugees, frail elders, or single moms.  Personal care items such as shampoo, deodorant, soap, and toothbrushes are one way of doing just that.

The value of personal hygiene is often overlooked but can make a world of difference in someone’s life.  Items we often take for granted can make a person feel more confident going in for that much needed job interview.

For more information about Joe and Lucy’s Pantry or to find out how to donate personal care items please contact Myrna mwinter@jfsmw.org.

JFS would especially like to thank Jeff Feingold from Hope and Comfort for a recent very generous donation of personal care products.
