Throughout the month of July students from the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School have been participating in a summer theater program called Performing Arts and Learning (PAL). The program, the brain child of JFS Board Member Robin Welch and an initiative through JFS Reducing
Achievement Gaps, was designed to allow students to express their creativity through acting, while also engaging them in academics during the summer months. The students were tasked with writing, directing and producing their own plays, in which their fellow actors starred in during the final show. We encourage those interested in learning more or volunteering with the Reducing Achievement Gaps program to watch this video or contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Kayla Hopkins at khopkins@jfsmw.org or 508-875-3100 x.220.
