On Sunday, December 25th, volunteers from the Brotherhood of Temple Beth Am inFramingham will partner with JFS and provide a festive Christmas lunch at Hastings House for senior adults who are part of the Framingham Housing Authority community.

“Even though we don’t celebrate Christmas, we still want to participate in the spirit of the season.  We want to make the world a better place which is a big part of being Jewish.  This is a wonderful time for us to give back to the wider community.” – Rick Reed, Brotherhood Co-President.

JFS has been providing the healthy aging services at Hastings House since 2005.  The goal of this program is to enable senior adults to age in place in the community.  Weekly exercise classes, walking clubs, health monitoring, health education and other community building activities contribute to the health and well being of the residents. These are all part of JFS’ healthy aging initiative.
