The Basics Needs Team of JF&CS is hiring an energetic, enthusiastic, and very organized Administrative Assistant to support our current operations and future growth. Basics Needs is a dynamic program providing services and advocacy for low-income families and individuals. Basic Needs provides financial assistance, legal services, domestic violence case management, nutrition services, and a kosher food pantry. The person in this position must have excellent time management skills, have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and have a solution-based approach to work. The Administrative Assistant will work directly with the several Basic Needs Program Directors and staff members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of all the programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintenance of client records, triaging client phone calls, researching and compiling community resources, organizing mailings, and participating in data collection efforts.

The Administrative Assistant must be professional, mature, and flexible and have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as customer service skills. Excellent computer skills and ability to work as part of a team are a must. The applicant must have a minimum of 2 years administrative experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
