During the last 8 months, students in the MetroWest Jewish Day School’s Se’orah (first grade) class have demonstrated their ability to express themselves both spiritually and conceptually to get ready for their Siddur Celebration. HaMorah Tamar Rotstein feels very privileged to have experienced many special moments with the first grade students during their time of prayer each morning when they all shared their most personal thoughts and feelings. This week our first graders celebrated a very special milestone: their Siddur Celebration! Se’orah was so excited to receive their very own Siddur! They did a wonderful job leading their family and friends in the prayers. Kol Ha’kavod! Our first grade students have truly grown both individually and as a classroom kehillah, community.  This moment represents a milestone in the Jewish life of our students as they continue to grow and deepen their connection to Judaism. The words of our prayers evoke the hopes and dreams of the Jewish people throughout our history.
