Samara Hendin, leader for Wanderings and Wonderings, shares her thoughts on this brand new program for young adults. Register online – only a few spots remain.

I remember my first year in high school and then, my experience as a freshman in college. I was new again after graduating, when most of my friends left Boston. Beginnings weren’t always easy.

It was programs like “Wanderings and Wonderings” that propelled me from “new” to “member of a community.” It’s one thing to work for a Jewish organization (which I do) and go to synagogue (which I do from time to time) and even to go to a Shabbat dinner here and there, but feeling part of a community came from interactions with other Jews my age.

“Wanderings and Wonderings” will bring Jews in their 20s and 30s of all backgrounds (religious, political etc.) together to discuss and experience a variety of topics relating to Judaism today.

Facilitated by dynamic teachers, the program will enable us to go beyond the surface-level interactions of most social experiences and help us to question, explore and gain insight together. I am very excited to accompany participants on this journey.

I want to learn not only from exemplary sessions, but also from you!
