Amy Salinger, the new Director of the Temple Emeth Nursery School (TENS), brings a wealth of experience in Jewish early childhood education to the Chestnut Hill synagogue.
She was previously the Preschool Director at Temple Beth Am in Framingham, where she instituted a schoolwide Judaic curriculum including Shabbat and holiday celebrations and programming in addition to forging community partnerships to enhance the early childhood curriculum. Salinger has taught at the preschool at Congregation Beth El of Newton and at Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston. She was also the Family Educator at Temple Sinai of Brookline, where she led social action and family education activities.

She has strong communication skills along with compassion and warmth that draw people closer. She is an amazing resource to our families and professionals.”

She notes that TENS has a fresh look this year with newly painted walls, new carpet and lighting, and new individual cubbies. Salinger is planning to bring in community visitors to share special interests with the children. “There is a lot of happy energy taking place daily at TENS, and I want to share that with the community.”
