The name says it all. On April 23rd, Christians, Jews, and Catholics came together- 19 young adults in all- to participate in a mock seder and Passover potluck.

Using the Seder in the Box, all of the participants read sections of the Haggadah and learned about the story of Passover. Each person had their own Seder plate and followed in English and Hebrew. As shown by the photo, the participants eagerly learned about the 10 plagues through finger puppets and lively entertainment. The night culminated with a potluck, done Passover style, and impromptu Passover themed pictionary. One table even had a “horseradish off” trying 3 different types of horseradish, including one that was homemade. Afterwards, the recipes used for potluck were put into a recipe book for all of the attendees.

Afterwards, one participant exclaimed “Thanks for inviting me to such a great seder on Saturday! I had a great time, and really enjoyed being able to experience a slice of your traditions.”

Thank you to a Young Adult Community Grant from Combined Jewish Philanthropies for making all the fun happen.
