Chelsea Jewish Lifecare is excited to announce that Swampscott residents Phyllis and Alan Bolotin will be honored at the 10th annual 2018 ALS & MS Walk for Living. The two-mile walk, which is expected to attract over 1,000 walkers, raises much-needed funds for advancing healthcare at the organization’s award-winning Leonard Florence Center for Living. The Center is the country’s first urban Green House® skilled nursing residence and now cares for more individuals living with ALS than anyplace else in the world.

“We are thrilled to honor Phyllis and Alan Bolotin at this milestone event,” said Barry Berman, CEO of Chelsea Jewish Lifecare. “As long-time residents of the North Shore and leaders within the Jewish community, the Bolotins have contributed to organizations for years with their generosity, time, passion and dedication. We feel extremely fortunate to have both Phyllis and Alan as friends and supporters of the Leonard Florence Center for Living.”

The Bolotin family has strong ties to the North Shore. The couple, who have been married for 38 years, raised three children in Swampscott. Alan Bolotin—CLU®, ChFC® and AEP®—is a financial representative and senior financial planner with Baystate Financial in Wakefield. As head of the Bolotin Financial Group, Alan possesses an unwavering commitment to his clients and to their sustainable success. Both Phyllis and Alan are very involved in the Chabad of the North Shore, the Lappin Foundation and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), among many other charitable organizations. In their free time, they enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling and golf.

“Phyllis and I are so proud to be involved with this year’s Walk for Living,” said Alan Bolotin. “The ALS and MS residents at the Leonard Florence Center for Living continuously inspire and amaze us. We look forward to this year’s event, as well as to raising awareness about these remarkable individuals and residences.

The 2018 ALS & MS Walk for Living will take place at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 201 Captains Row on Admiral’s Hill in Chelsea. Emceed by KISS 108’s Matt Siegel, beloved host of the “Matty in the Morning” show, the Walk for Living also includes a barbecue, face painting, live dance performances, a petting zoo, raffle and more.
