Schechter Boston now makes it easier than ever to realize the affordability of a Jewish day school education through its new Tuition Calculator at www.dayschoolcost.com. In just a few minutes, families can estimate their expected Schechter tuition anonymously by answering six basic questions. No personally identifiable information is shared in order to generate the estimate.

The Tuition Calculator, built by CJP, is intended as a mechanism to make apparent the generous financial aid our day schools offer to incoming families. “Collectively our day schools extend over $10M in financial aid every year which dramatically defrays the cost of attendance for many of our families,” said Ari Sussman, CJP’s day school consultant.

“This tool was built to create more transparency sooner in the school recruitment process. Although Schechter is the first day school to roll this out, we intend to extend this tool to as many of our 14 Jewish day schools as possible in the coming months and years.”

Schechter Boston awards more than $3M annually to about 60% of enrolled families. The average award per family is approximately $18,000.

The tuition calculator incorporates three different Schechter Boston financial aid programs to estimate the optimal aid option for each family.

Schechter’s aid programs are:
