Last month, the Hunger-Free Campus Initiative was introduced in Massachusetts. This legislation would provide funding for public colleges and universities to implement resources proven to reduce campus food insecurity (food insecurity means having irregular or uncertain access to food). You can learn more about this legislation and its potential impact here.

We need your help to make sure this legislation passes! Right now there are two ways you can take action:

If you’re a college student (or have a college student in your life): Submit a short video testimony about why you believe in this legislation and want it to pass. This is a space where you can share stories from your campus. Learn more and submit videos here.

If you’re not a college student: Write to your state representatives and ask them to vote yes on the bill. You can find all the tools you need to contact your representatives here.

Learn more about the #FUELHigherEd campaign and the work Challah for Hunger is doing to make college more accessible here. Our goal is that no student has to choose between food and their education.
