Like many small non-profits, we rely heavily on the man power of our volunteers. Volunteers are vital to the success of just about all of our programs.

Kesher and Kesher13 would not exist if we did not have volunteers to develop friendships with the seniors who benefit from the services of these programs.

The children at Wilson Elementary School in Framingham would not have mentors to assist them with homework and build their confidence.

We would not be able to get nearly as much done as we’d like to prepare for our Seas the Dream gala if we didn’t have volunteers working in our office to diligently call our supporters and remind them of the event.

So what makes the world go round? Well angular momentum, I think, but also volunteers.

Without them we wouldn’t be able to serve the community in the scope that we do.

This was never clearer to us then it was this past Monday when the wonderful volunteers that come to us from On Process Technology arrived to help us package up 57 grocery bags with fruits and vegetables for our Healthy Harvest program, a program that provides fresh produce to needy families in our community on a bi-weekly basis.

Our volunteers spent their afternoon bagging greens and counting and sorting out produce to distribute among our very happy families. Take a look at what yielded from all their hard work!:
