It’s almost time to register for KIRS, also known as KI Religious School!
Here’s a snapshot of registration information for the Kehillath Israel Religious School (KIRS) 2023-2024 registration. We can’t wait to learn with and from you in the year ahead! Please note that no student will be turned away due to lack of funds. Jewish education can be expensive, but we do not want it be prohibitive. Scholarships are available to families in need, or we would be happy to come up with a payment plan that works for your family. To discuss payment options or any other questions about KIRS, please email Lisa.
Regular schedule by grade level:
- K-1 class: Thursday afternoons from 3-5 p.m.
- Grades 2-3 & 4-5 classes: Monday and Thursday afternoons from 3-5 p.m.
- Grades 6-7 class: Thursday afternoons from 3-5 p.m.
- Shabbat: A hallmark of the KIRS program is the monthly KIRS Community Shabbat services that take place on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. KIRS students are expected to join once a month either on Friday evening (5:30-7 p.m.) or on Shabbat morning (10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.)
Although you are not required to be a member of KI to participate in our Religious School program, families who are participating are encouraged to join KI as members. If you are interested in Belonging at KI (membership information), please contact Shelly Weil, KI VP of membership.
