Have you ever done community service wishing you knew more about the people you were working with, their stories, or why your actions were important? Have you ever volunteered and thought, “I wish I could see what kind of impact I’m really making?” Have you ever finished a project and wished there was more?

If so, welcome to TELEM.

TELEM: Jewish Youth Making a Difference Together is an umbrella community service and learning program for students 6-12th grade. Through TELEM, B’nai TELEM, TELEM Teen Community Organizing, and TELEM Day Schools, we do more than just provide the opportunity to volunteer. We help students grow from thinking and caring into doing, and affecting real change.

TELEM is more than community service, because TELEM combines community service with learning, preparation, and reflection together, in a Jewish context with a Jewish peer group.

TELEM is about building relationships and exploring the community, on top of having an impact. If you’ve ever wanted to get involved past that one project or community service trip, now is your chance to learn more.
