The Boston-Haifa Connection’s Vacation With Soul was recently featured on the IDF website. An IDF reporter accompanied the group on a tour of the naval base in Haifa:

“Steven Doppelt, the head of this specific delegation explains that, ‘we adopted the city of Haifa and planned to start coming before the Second Lebanon War broke out but had to wait a few months until after the war. We are a group ranging from businessmen to engineers to teachers so we try to use our skills to best serve the needs of the people. We stay in Israel for about 5-6 weeks, mainly in Haifa but we also go to Jerusalem, Tzfat, Tel Aviv, Eilat and the Golan.

‘Our main goal is to show the city and its people how much they are loved. We want to establish a strong connection between Boston and Haifa. We love the people of Israel. We love their spirit, commitment and warmth.'”
