After meandering through assorted topics of conversation, I pulled the book “Rosh Hashanah Yom Kippur Survival Kit” (circa 1982 but still interesting) off of my bookshelf to share with the two students in my office. Turning to a random page, I asked the following question: “If I could only give my children three pieces of advice what would they be?”
After thinking, here’s the response from one of the kids.
1. “Never jump into a rapid.”
2. “Never hug a real live bear.”
3. “Never jump off a plane without safety equipment.”
What a trifecta of pearls of wisdom to usher in the new year.
Shana Tovah U’Metukah.
