Friends, families, staff and residents gathered recently to celebrate the dedication of the Torf Family Community Living Room in the Waldfogel Health Center, located on the Chelsea Jewish Foundation’s North Shore Campus.

Amidst food, music and a heartfelt dedication ceremony, an open house was held to honor the Torf family. Over the years, the family, owners of the Torf Funeral Service, has very generously contributed to all entities of the Chelsea Jewish Foundation, including the Leonard Florence Center for Living and the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home in Chelsea and the Jeffrey and Susan Brudnick Center for Living and the Harriett and Ralph Kaplan Estates in Peabody. The Community Living Room serves as the cornerstone of the Chelsea Jewish Foundation’s North Shore campus.

“We are very grateful to Deborah Torf Golden, Amy Torf Feinberg and the entire Torf family for their extreme generosity,” said Chelsea Jewish Foundation CEO Barry Berman. “As long-time residents of the North Shore and leaders within the Jewish community, they understand the importance of high-quality care for seniors in our community. We truly value the support and friendship of the Torf family.”
