In the spirit of innovation and “start up,” the Israeli Consulate invited members of the New England community to participate in its Creativity Grant initiative and develop proposals for Israel-related programs that would spark interest in Israel and its people.
From a graffiti tour of Tel Aviv to a virtual study tour to more traditional Israel teen travel, we were able to foster connections to Israel despite the pandemic, while also assisting certified tour guides who are struggling to stay afloat financially in light of the travel limitations imposed by COVID-19.
Altogether, we awarded four grants in the amount of $250 to the following organizations: Temple Sinai, Brookline; Temple Beth-El, Providence; Temple Emanu-El, Marblehead; and the Lappin Foundation, Salem.
