created at: 2012-11-20The Transitions to work program is an employer based program that focuses on creating new employment opportunities for young adults with a disability. The program provides classroom instruction and skills training to prepare students for work and assists them in obtaining employment upon completion of the program. Transitions to Work serves Jewish individuals with a disability between the ages of 18 to 35 who have completed high school, can travel independently and can work up to 20 hours per week. 

The Transitions to Work Program is excited to announce an upcoming training session beginning in February 2013:

Transitions will offer an internship training program at HebrewSenior Life in the areas of Customer Service, Culinary Arts and Housekeeping.  Students will gain hands-on work experience and training that is relevant to real jobs.

The training will take place at NewBridge on the Charles, a HebrewSenior Life facility in Dedham and all classes are run by JVS instructors. If you or anyone you know are interested pleases contact:
