Hi, my name is Hannah Scharlin-Pettee and I am looking for two observant and spiritual Jewish women and/or girls to participate in a short documentary I am making with the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute at Brandeis University this summer.

The film is about documenting the practice and expression of spiritual Jewish women in the home, work, synagogue, etc., to show how they reconcile and understand their gender within a historically androcentric faith. If gender, religious practice, and spirituality is something that interests you, please contact me!

The requirements for participation are:

-You must identify as an actively observant and spiritual Jewish female

-You/the members of your household must be comfortable with being filmed at home and at temple

-If younger than 18, you must have the written permission of a parent or guardian to participate in the film

-You must live in the Greater Boston Area

-You must sign a release form prior to shooting

The filming will take place between July 1st-13th. If you are interested in participating, please contact me with your name and the best way to reach you before June 28th.
