Golda Meir House residents and staff worked together to organize a joyous Victory Day celebration. Over 100 were in attendance to acknowledge this important Russian national holiday It commemorates the 1945 defeat of the Germans by the Russian army.  It was a tremendous feat with millions of casualties. At Golda, the celebration extended to all veterans of World War II. Simon Shapiro provided the music and the attendees stayed well beyond the luncheon to sing patriotic songs.  And like so many wonderful JCHE events, this one was very multi-cultural — participants included those from Greece, Macedonia, China, Romania, Albania, America and more!
