One of my friends mentioned that she happened to be at Whole Foods last Sunday when the Matzah in the Aisles event was going on.  And then she said the magic words… Chocolate Covered Matzah.  They were sampling Chocolate Covered Matzah.

So now I know what I’m taking to my friend Carol’s house for Seder!

The only question is… what recipe to use!!!  A quick bit of googling turns up over 100,000 results.

A quick survey quickly leads to a simple realization.  The standard recipe is:  coat matzah with brown sugar and butter, bake a little, and then pour chocolate chips over the hot mitzvah.  Add nuts if you like.  Woo hoo!  My favorite cooking experience – easy, delicious, unexpected!

Here’s a version do with your kids

Here’s one with gorgeous pictures that made my mouth water.  David Lebovitz, the author, runs a food blog from Paris.  What could be bad?

This one also has other suggestions, including ones to buy.

And finally, here’s one that just has chocolate, no butter.  It sounds too easy.  Our people suffered through slavery and the Exodus and I’ll just microwave the chocolate for my matzah.  Is that kosher?

Still, what fun!  Maybe this year I’ll be able to make it through more than a day before eating bread!
